Above: It is important to establish goals or objectives. I keep them simple, knowing that as we learn more that the goals might shift and evolve.
Above: I wanted to think outside of the box, design something that was not in production. My goal was to mirror some of the elements we see in calendars and timelines. Money can be measured just like time, so I explored associating the two concepts into a common mental model.
Above: Tabs or navigation is simple. Keep jargon out of the equation and design for everyday people.
Above: I designed the experience much like the way that some people might write a check.
Above: Date selection should be a visual experience. Mirroring some mobile experiences.

Bill Pay Blue Sky Concept
I was given an opportunity to develop a Blue Sky concept of what a future online Bill Pay feature might look like for Frost Bank. The process took about 6 weeks to conduct research of what other Bill Pay systems looks like, what the customer is accustom to experiencing, and then develop a high-level concept of a solution that could be utilized in both a desktop and mobile web environment.
I start out by conducting competitive research of other banks and FinTechs. Then group and theme the ideas that surfaced. Once I found common threads, I formulated goals.
This exploration was a refreshing opportunity where I could think outside the box and experiment with new concepts.
